Learner Driver Mentor Programs (LDMP'S) offer free supervisory mentor driving sessions with our fully licensed volunteer supervisory drivers to eligble Tasmanians who experience barriers preventing them from gaining the necessary supervised driving hours to sit a provisional license test and gain their P1 drivers license.

Some of our programs provide a more focused LDMP support service, so if a learner driver meets that programs eligibility ctiteria.

Which for example might include: That the learner driver is experiencing difficulty accessing a suitable vehicle or supervisory driver then please click on the interactive map on this website and you will find the contact details of the program nearest to your living location.

Contact the program coordinators and they will follow up your enquiry and discuss whether you meet their eligibility guidlines for LDMP support.  As our coordinators often work 2 days a week in general.  It may take them a week to follow up and make you a face to face appointment with them.

Our programs do have waiting lists, due to the growing need for our LDMP support. So even if you are eligible to join their program and your application form has been accepted by the LDMP Coordinator  and it may take sometime for you to be matched with a mentor and begin driving with them.
